INSTRUCTIONS: Hold the RCB loosely approximately 24" above the ground. Tap it vigorously on the ground or firm surface to break loose both joints. It is unnecessary to drive the baton into the back of the handle cap. Alternatively, tap and roll the baton at a 45-degree angle on a firm surface until the joints vibrate loose. With an open palm, send the baton tip into the handle. It is not brute force but practice and finesse that closes these batons.
